I work with data, but I think about the bigger picture
I'm a Data Manager based in Finland, with a background in finance, accounting and software development. I'm interested in how organisations can make better use of their data and turn it into something they can genuinely rely on.
My work focuses on data governance, data quality, data management and analysis. I enjoy bringing structure to complex information, improving processes and making data more reliable, accessible and useful.
Having worked in both technical and business environments, I understand that managing data is about more than systems and technology. It requires understanding business needs, working with people and finding practical solutions to real challenges.
I enjoy collaborating across teams, solving problems and finding better ways of working. Whether it's improving data quality, streamlining processes or turning information into meaningful insights, I like making things work better.
I'm also curious about new technologies and ways of working. AI has naturally become part of my day-to-day work, helping me explore ideas, understand code, solve problems, handle routine tasks and learn new things. I see it as a useful companion that helps me work smarter and discover new possibilities, while keeping the thinking, decisions and responsibility where they belong: with me.
I believe good data management should make things simpler, not more complicated. That's the principle behind how I approach my work.

Good data starts with asking the right questions.
I believe the best solutions come from understanding the problem first, not jumping straight into technology.
My approach is simple: understand the challenge, get the fundamentals right, and focus on what actually makes a difference.
I like digging into complex data, finding where things don't quite add up, and figuring out how to make them better. Sometimes that means improving data quality, sometimes it's simplifying a process, and sometimes it's just asking the right questions before moving forward.
I believe reliable data is the foundation of good decisions. That's why I pay attention to the details, from how information is collected and structured to how it's managed and used across an organisation.
But I also believe in keeping things practical. Not every problem needs a complicated solution, a new tool, or another dashboard. Sometimes the biggest improvements come from making existing processes work better.
For me, good data management is about finding the right balance between technology, people, and business needs. And that's what I aim to bring to every project.

A useful part of how I work and learn.
AI has become a natural part of my everyday toolkit. I use it to explore ideas, solve problems, learn new things and make some of the more repetitive parts of work a little easier. It's not about having AI do the thinking for me, but about having another tool to help me along the way.

Data, Python & Analysis
When a script breaks or a dataset doesn't behave as expected, I use AI to understand errors, explore possible solutions and find better ways to approach a problem. I still review the code, test it and make sure the results make sense.

Learning & Research
Whether it's an unfamiliar tool, technical documentation or a concept I want to understand better, AI helps me get started and explore new topics. I use it as a learning companion, while checking important details against reliable sources.

Everyday Tasks & Planning
From meeting notes and checklists to email drafts and planning, AI helps with the small everyday tasks that can take up more time than expected. It's a handy way to get organised and spend more time on the things that matter.

Website & Coding
I also use AI when working on websites, WordPress, small scripts and troubleshooting. It's useful for exploring ideas, getting past coding roadblocks and handling repetitive work, although some problems still need a good amount of human thinking.
For me, AI is about making everyday work a little easier and learning along the way. I enjoy experimenting with it, but I don't take everything it says at face value. A bit of curiosity, common sense and human judgement still go a long way.
